I grew up in New York City, surrounded by music. I was constantly listening to songs on the radio, records on the turntable, and my dad and sis singing and playing guitar.
As a teen in the 70s I started going to live shows. I caught the Clash at Bond’s, the Slits at Hurrah’s, the Who (with Keith Moon!) at Madison Square Garden, and Ron Carter at Sweet Basil. These shows were both exhilarating and life changing.
In 2004, I launched Punk Rope, a music-driven fitness class, which featured a new themed playlist every week.
And after four decades of being a music fan I made my DJ debut in 2018 at Otto’s Shrunken Head.
The first Friday of the month from 4-6pm, I host “Global Groove” at Hi-Note NYC at 188 Avenue B in the East Village of Manhattan.
In 2024, I launched Two Tone Timmy’s Vegan Face Cream to help rockers, club kids, and everyone in between overcome the effects of sleep deprivation and too much partying. Drop me a note for more information and/or to order a jar.
